Guest players (fill-ins) have broadcast notifications off by default. The thinking: if someone only plays a few times a year, they probably don't want a booking-open ping every Sunday for matches they can't make.
Guests still always receive match-specific notifications when they're actually in a pool — teams announced, match cancelled, match report, voting results. Those follow the same always-on rules as for any other player.
If a guest wants the broadcast notifications too, it's one toggle: Settings → Notifications → Booking Alerts.

Admins have their own section in notification settings for organiser-specific alerts: dropout warnings, join requests, pool status updates, and so on. These sit alongside the regular player notifications and can be toggled independently.
See Admin Setup for the full guide to admin-only settings.
